Congratulations! Is the call in a part of the country (or world) that you are excited about?

Wow! This is a good question!

I wanted to return to the area of origin of my wife or me - Ohio or Kentucky. Additionally, I was seeking to engage in church planting.

However, this is an established congregation in the "Delta" region of Mississippi. (If you have seen the movie, Oh, Brother Where Art Thou," you have seen this area.) It is the cotton capital of the US.

We are excited about the opportunity though. The people are very nice and the previous teaching elder was a Gospel-centered minister. I believe this will be a good experience for us.

Imagine Mayberry in the 21st century with some socio/economic issues...that's where I'm going. There is plenty of opportunity for church revitalization and evangelism. Pray for God's grace to be poured out on me and my family.

Thank you for asking, brother.
